Mirrors

Mirrors are fun! Oh my goodness, you can brighten a dark corner, use them on a shelf to bring attention to your decor, use them in a formal setting to reflect a beautiful chandelier, use them in a foyer to welcome your guests and especially use them opposite a window to bring the outdoors inside. Mirrors will help you bring light into a space that may not have any windows.
The one place you do not want to put a mirror, according to Feng Shui, is across from your bed...unless the bed is not in a commanding position, which is to say that you can see the door when lying in your bed. If that is the case, place the mirror so you can see the door reflected in the mirror when lying in bed. You may need to get creative with how to place it.
Mirrors are not just accessories; they are a central design element that can transform any space, reflecting light and beauty throughout your home. Whether you're experimenting with shapes, sizes, or styles, mirrors can complement every design philosophy, from minimalist to baroque. Redesigning a home does not always require replacing everything. Many clients come to us thinking their only option is to start from scratch, but often the right approach involves working with what you already have and making intentional updates. A room can feel entirely different with just a few thoughtful changes.

The living room is often the heart of your home, a space for relaxation, entertainment, and connecting with loved ones. Whether you’re redesigning your living room or just looking to refresh it, there are key design elements that can make a big difference in creating a stylish and functional space. Here are seven essential design elements that every living room should have, according to interior design experts.

In 2014, we upgraded our kitchen…total gut. We took down a wall between the kitchen and the dining room, which greatly opened the space. In the picture, you will see an island with a stove top and oven in the center. The island was quite large and did not allow much space in front of the refrigerator.
